Note the kid who won is Tim Cindric's (Penske racing president) kid, who also has a ride in F-2000 with Andretti autosport..

Nice job Michael!

Thanks.
Cindric out qualified everybody else.

1. Austin Cindric - 50.22
2. Joey Essma - 50.58
3. Michael Bilyy - 50.85
4. ... few more close to 51.0

Joey had a great start, moved in front of Austin, Bradley passed Michael for third. First 4 got some gap first half of the race. Austin bumped Joey for the lead and at the end received 3 position penalty for that. So Michael, finished 4th, started 3rd again with Austin by his side.

Final start was again clean and with some position changes. Austin lost one position which helped leading trio to create some gap. But he was able to get his position back in lap or two and was on Michael's bumper right before the hairpin. He exited hairpin sticking his nose beside Michael and forced him him to slow down or hit the curb. Michael did both, slowed down and hit the curb. (On Saturday practice Michael accidentally hit curb and returned to pit with pain in his injured ankle, I asked him to stay on asphalt and try not to bother his ankle again. )
Same exactly thing was used by Austin to second driver. Michael lost some time but was within 2 seconds from leading three karts, with Joey still first. Bradley was right behind Austin and in turn 1 turned him sideways by trying to pass him inside. Austin rejoined race in 5th position. Michael barely avoided this accident. Right next lap he showed his best lap (50.36) in trying to catch Bradley just to loose distance in next lap by hitting the curb again.
At the end, Austin was able to pass for 4th (same trick in hairpin), Joey finished first, Bradley was moved behind Austin to finish 4th. That is how Michael got second place.
Full results are on mylaps, showing that we (Joey, Bradley, Michael) were able to achieve similar best lap times.

Joel Norman improved a lot. From high 52 on Saturday to 51.5 on Sunday. 51.7 was Michael's best time when we tested in January on both Arrow and Tony.

Nick Lefferdo qualified 2nd in Rotax Senior (13 entries!) behind another young driver who raced in Barnesville (Brenden Johnson), but faded during the races. This was Nick's first time at MMX.

Burt Martin scored podium in MicroMax.
